        5. Image measures 25 1/4" H x 19 1/2" W. In excellent unframed condition. Signed lower right and numbered lower left 39/200. Christiaan Karel Appel was a Dutch painter, sculptor, and poet. He started painting at the age of fourteen and studied at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in the 1940s.
